Dedicated to Niloufar Bayani
Here's an update from 2023. This course has become the most popular online training program created by the UN with more than 75k subscribers worldwide!
Climate change is here to stay and now we have to realistically talk about adaptation and nature-based solutions to help our planet. So if you're seeing climate change impacts and climate-related disasters around you and you are not sure how you can create solutions, then this course is for you.
For almost a year we developed lecture videos and case studies for UN Environment's latest rollout of its online course on nature-based solutions for disaster and climate resilience. It is always a challenge to work with teams across the globe. And COVID didn't make it easier. But flexibility and having plan A, B, C, D, and E allowed us to cross the finish line on time.
We would like to thank the UN Environment team for letting us lend a hand in creating this course. And we would like to join in dedicating our work to our former UN Environment colleague Niloufar Bayani who, along with five environmentalists, is serving a 10-year prison sentence in a prison in Iran for her wildlife conservation work.
