Eco-DRR may sound like another UN acronym, but for developing nations disaster risk reduction with an ecosystem-based approach is a game changer. Vulnerable communities and countries prevent and reduce the impacts of disasters through better ecosystems management.
We helped the United Nations Environment Programme launch a campaign to showcase four Eco-DRR pilot projects in Haiti, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Afghanistan and Sudan - in forests, wetlands, coastal and marine systems, and drylands.
